Day 2: : In Cochin
After breakfast, We will start our day tour by visiting Paradesi Synagogue, one of the oldest Synagogues where Jews are meeting since 1568. the year it was constructed. From here you will head to Mattancherry Palace. This UNESCO World Heritage-listed palace is famous for Kerala Murals, a kind of wall painting that depicts Hindu mythology and Rajas of Kochi. Our next destination is Santa Cruz Basilica. This church is one of the most elegant and remarkable churches in India and is reckoned as one of the heritage edifices of Kerala. Next, you will visit Ernakulam Shiva Temple and St. Francis Church. Ernakulam Shiva Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva who is believed to be the protector of the city. From here, we will head to the St. Francis Church. Built-in 1503, St. Francis Church possesses great historical significance and is a silent witness of the European colonial struggle in the subcontinent. The last attraction of the day is the Chinese Fishing Nets. While in Kerala, Chinese Fishing Nets are a must-visit which is a permanent installation of fishing nets providing a unique method of fishing in the sea.
